This considers open-source country analysis as well as global benchmarking reports, to determine at-risk sites. Philips uses a country-specific Human Rights Impact Assessment (HRIA) to gain insights into the views of potentially affected stakeholders, engage in constructive dialog with them, and determine appropriate actions and management processes to effectively mitigate and address human rights risks. |

Actions or plans to address this risk | Organisation’s response: Philips investigates its supply chain to identify smelters of cobalt, tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold in its supply chain and we have committed to not purchasing raw materials, subassemblies, or supplies found to contain conflict minerals. Philips applies collective cross-industry leverage through active engagement via the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI). Philips continued to actively direct its supply chain towards these smelters. |
